Stewart’s Shops was honored to celebrate homecoming weekend with Plattsburgh City School District.

Homecoming festivities included everything from a scavenger hunt and parade to ice cream and great weather!

“It was awesome. We had the biggest homecoming parade attendance we have seen in a long time,” said Plattsburgh science teacher and homecoming coordinator Mrs. Hannah Bouayadi. “I don’t think people were expecting to see a Stewart’s truck in the parade.”

The school district chose to make Stewart’s Shops the theme of their 2024 homecoming.

Plattsburgh schools expanded their homecoming several years ago to involve students from the elementary, middle and high schools.

“Our overall goal was to build on what we had and encourage more people to be involved so we can teach the younger students what homecoming means for the entire community,” Mrs. Bouayadi said.

Students designed ice cream flavor themed floats for the parade including The Happy Camper float, named after the popular Stewart’s Graham cracker flavored ice cream with graham cracker pieces, a marshmallow swirl and chocolate peanut butter cups.

“It was a great community event,” said Stewart’s district manager Elizabeth Marlow. “So much fun had by all.”
