Stewart’s expands CDTA bus partnership to include our Greenfield manufacturing plant

Stewart’s Shops is now offering free bus transportation to all partners who work at our Greenfield manufacturing plant, thanks to an expanded agreement with CDTA.

Starting this month, the No. 451 CDTA bus route is now traveling to the Stewart’s plant seven days a week.

The new transportation agreement is an expansion of a partnership that Stewart’s and CDTA started three years ago, offering free bus service to Stewart’s Shop partners who work at inner city Stewart’s and our other locations throughout the Capital Region.

Currently, there are more than 300 Stewart’s partners enrolled in the program, which provides free bus rides with a simple swipe of their CDTA Navigator card.

“Stewart’s strives to be an employer of choice for the region,” said Tony Carnevale, vice president of personnel for Stewart’s Shops. “What better way to open up career opportunities for the community than to expand our partnership with CDTA, which has served our partners so well for the past three years.”

The goal of the program is to provide free, reliable transportation to Stewart’s partners. The bus pass is not only valid for transportation to work, Stewart’s partners also may use the pass for shopping trips, doctor’s appointments and other personal business.
