Stewart’s Shops chief operating officer Chad Kiesow worked a shift on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at our Claverack shop in recognition of a Holiday Match milestone.
The Claverack shop was recognized after Holiday Match donations increased by 121% this season compared to 2022. Our generous customers donated more than $4,800 at the Claverack shop this holiday season.
Kiesow, who joined Stewart’s in 1994 and was recently named COO, worked a shift from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to personally thank our customers and shop partners for their generosity and support.
Located at 811 Union Turnpike, the Claverack shop is one of Stewart’s newer locations. The shop was acquired as part of the Red-Kap acquisition. Stewart’s opened a larger shop at the site in August 2022.
Customers donated more than $1 million during the 37th year of the Holiday Match program. That means more than $2 million will be distributed to local nonprofit organizations that benefit children after factoring in the Stewart’s match.
As the festive season concludes, the spirit of giving is still in the air, and our commitment to supporting children’s charities remains steadfast. We are accepting Holiday Match applications through January 31.
Applying online for Holiday Match is easy and only takes a few minutes. Our goal is to help as many organizations as possible. During last year’s Holiday Match campaign, 1,939 children’s organizations received funding.
If you’re part of a children’s charity operating within our market area, this is an excellent opportunity for your organization to receive additional support to fuel initiatives, allowing you to reach more children and families in need.
Applicants must be locally based, benefit children and be a qualified, charitable 501c3 organization. Because Stewart’s does not charge any administrative fees, 100% of all funds collected will be redistributed to children’s charities in March.
Holiday Match has raised more than $38 million since the program started in 1986.
We are closer to you.
